So I was reminiscing over some videos I made in Logan with some friends, and I came upon one I forgot I made. This particular movie was made because we had a tradition of plunging into a lake in the middle of February for a few friends Birthdays including mine. Mine is February 9th for all those who care. The tradition was started by my friend Adam who loved to go to Bear Lake. Bear Lake is about an hour north east of Logan if you wanted to know. He decided one year since he missed a polar bear plunge in Hyrum to have a Birthday swim in Bear Lake in February. Well all those brave enough to go hopped into a car and we drove to the lake. I remember running into the lake and not being very cold, however when my friends and I were back on the sand we noticed that the water was freezing to our bodies. Which was far colder than swimming in the water. Luckily no one died or got hypothermia. We however did go back the next year and had to break a hole in the 2 foot thick ice. Some of us jumped in and quickly got out and dried off. This past February we did it again. I decided to bring my camera and document it. The movie I made has more than just the Bear Lake trip but I like the intro to it a lot. So if you don't like the intro I might hate you. It is title a Studio Chateau Winter because we lived in an apartment complex that used to be called the Chateau and we had a green screen setup in the kitchen so I could make some videos. Therefore it became Studio Chateau. The movie also has footage from a snowmobiling trip we took and our Indian( from India) roommate celebrating his first Christmas in Blackfoot Idaho. Yup he was in their nativity play and was gifted a VHS copy of The Butter Cream Gang.
